A candidate for our way of life is: between 21 and 45 years of age; a citizen or Legal Permanent Resident of the U.S.;
in good physical and mental health.

Only eight years after Francis’ band of Lesser Brothers received Papal approval, their rapid growth led them to form regional units or provinces in 1217.

Located at ministries throughout the East Coast and Midwest, our regional vocation directors are here to assist you with the discernment process. Their backgrounds are diverse and their ministries are varied – they work in parish ministry, education and campus ministry, diverse urban ministry centers, direct service to the poor, and other nontraditional ministries. All of them bring something different to our Franciscan fraternity.
